George has spent the last 27 years working as a muralist and furniture painter
designing and creating interiors and original works of art for both private
individuals and corporate clients. His art and design can be seen in many
properties throughout the world. George's online portfolio shows his eye for
detail and the diversity of his work. This site has pages showing various types

The
shop pages have works of art available for sale. These
paintings can be purchased by credit card via a secure link provided by Paypal,
and will be dispatched within 2 working days from receipt of payment (using 1st
class Royal Mail recorded delivery). Commissions for
canvases can be arranged online, and commissions for interior design and
decorative work on site will be accepted in the South East of England, primarily
Kent and Sussex.

Greetings cards The
Greetings cards are reproductions of my artwork. some are of paintings, some are
of paintings that have been further developed digitally, some are generated on
the computer, one or two are photographs I have taken. The cards can be
purchased using the secure Paypal shopping cart. |
A
painted sandstone bathroom with trompe l'œil pilasters; a trompe l'œil still
life on canvas in a 17th
century style; a painting of a window in a stairwell; a page of bracket boxes
with trompe l'œil panels; a hallway with trompe l'œil blue and white delftware
pottery painted on a yellow sponged background.

A marbled pillar, oil glazed to resemble rance marble; a fire surround, oil glazed
to resemble yellow sienna marble (this room also has trompe panels painted on
the dado under the chair rail); a wooden chimney piece painted with sandstone
blocks and faux lime mortar joints.

Pet
portraits including cat and dog paintings; farm animals including sheep, cattle,
chickens and pigs, painted in artist's oil on canvas or board; wild animals
(these are mostly older paintings in acrylic paint on board, some in a surreal
style, the animals being part of the composition, not the main subject). |
The linen press on this page depicts 45 different kinds
of fruit, flowers and vegetables. In the top panels these
are arranged as hanging bunches, in the bottom panels as swags, one of hops the
other olives. The bits page shows miscellaneous items such as a bucket decorated
with fruit and flowers, an antique pine chest painted in a naive style with
tulips and blue birds, a waste paper bin decorated with auriculas, one of three
panels decorated with a swag of plants painted on the front of a shop counter, a
four fold screen painted with a camellia and yellow bird design and a sample
board from a commission to paint bedroom furniture (click on the image of the
board to see the furniture).

Interior Design.
The
interior design pages show a recreated Georgian dining room and another dining
room glazed in acrylic scumble over murals painted in an 18th century
baroque/rococo (Chinese Chippendale) style. The construction of mirror frame was
also included in the commission. Also a green glazed drawing room and a mural
painted in an orangery.
